Zambia Unveil Final FIFA Women’s World Cup Squad

Zambia have officially announced their first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup squad for the global showpiece in Australia and New Zealand from 20 July.
The 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations bronze medalists will be led by star striker Barbra Banda, while there is keen interest in the midfield with eyes on Evarine Katongo, who will be aiming to pick up from her WAFCON performances on make a mark on the international stage.
The Copper Queens are paired in Group C alongside Spain, Costa Rica and Japan.
Their first game will be against Japan on 22 July 2023 at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton.
