UWC Extend Lead On Latest HWBSL Log Standings
Over the past weekend, the University of the Western Cape showcased their consistency and excellence in the Hollywoodbets Super League, remaining at the top of the log standings.
On Saturday, 16 September 2023, UWC put up a dominant performance, securing a 3-1 victory over Tshwane University of Technology.
UWC’s victory takes them to 60 points from 22 matches, placing them 10 points ahead of defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.
In another match on the day, JVW FC dominated with a 4-0 victory against City Lads FC. The Blue Diamonds currently occupy third position on the log table, showcasing their strong standing in the competition.

In a match with few goals, Copperbelt Ladies and Richmond United Ladies played to a goalless draw.
Meanwhile, First Touch Ladies earned a well-deserved, hard-fought 2-1 win over Ma-Indies Ladies.
On Sunday, Royal AM showcased their prowess, netting five goals on their opponents’ turf, for their match against Coal City Wizards ended 5-2.
In a battle between two academic institutions, the University of Pretoria clinched a narrow 1-0 win against the University of Johannesburg.
In the weekend’s final match, TS Galaxy and Thunderbirds Ladies FC played to a 1-1 draw.
