In Medikal’s opinion, the Presidents who have ascended the seat as leaders in both the past and the present should not be connected to the economic hardships in the country.
This was after a social media fan blamed the NPP government for not honoring their promises and also the citizens for voting for such incompetent leaders.
In a tweet, the rapper explained that the citizens in the country voted for the presidents because they wanted the presidents to tell them the promises they wanted to hear, hence they should not be blamed if they have failed to honor their promises.
This comes at the back of the numerous complaints registered by the majority of Ghanaians over the deteriorating conditions of the economy. Many believe that the ill-governance of the Akufo Addo-led government is what has led to the woes of Ghanaians.
Well, Medikal has been the only Ghanaian celebrity who has jumped to the defense of the government, probably after carefully evaluating the problems and realizing they are not to be blamed.
He wrote; The presidents Never bi the problem. The citizens vote for the presidents because the presidents tell them what they want to hear, so na who cause am?
