Sister Derby’s music career has been a nonstarter in the first place so OnlyFans been one of the few avenues that serves as her source of income.
However, OnlyFans is set to ban explicit content from their platform and that could directly have an adverse effect on the controversial Ghanaian musician because she sells exclusive nude photos and perhaps videos to subscribers via her account.
Sister Derby joined OnlyFans in February this year and charges $20.00 per monthly subscription. Her account is still active, and in August alone, she has posted seven nude content.
OnlyFans has, however, said creators will still be allowed to put up nude photos and videos, provided they’re consistent with OnlyFans’ policy.
“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” OnlyFans told Bloomberg on Thursday, August 19.
OnlyFans is a content subscription service based in London. Content creators can earn money from users who subscribe to their content—the “fans”. It allows content creators to receive funding directly from their fans on a monthly basis as well as one-time tips and the pay-per-view feature.
