Ghanaian Afropop/dancehall musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, well known as Stonebwoy has said that although he reached out to Shatta Wale during his arrest, he did not go visiting because he is not on a sickbed.
The news of Shatta Wale being shot by unknown gunmen on the 18th of October, 2021 went viral on social media after his personal assistant and designer took to their social media handles to spread the fake news.
After three weeks of the fake shooting incident, dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has not been able to comment on the issue. During his media tour for his new single “Greedy Men” on Onua Maakye Morning show, Stonebwoy was questioned by Cookie Tee about the arrest of Shatta Wale.
According to Stonebwoy, he did not believe the news about his shooting and did not panic when he heard the news but his legal team was in talks with the legal team of Shatta Wale and were planning to visit him when he heard that he was arrested by the police.
“I never believed that Shatta Wale was shot. I did not want to believe. I did a lot of balances and addition based on the information that was spread and I realized the news of his shooting did not add up. I was relieved to hear the news that it was not true.”
“My legal team and his, share a very cordial relationship…We planned to pay him a visit on the day of his release but we had another intel that made us hold on with our visit but the truth is Shatta Wale is not a patient…” he said amidst laughter.
