Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP) governorship candidate, Olajide Adediran (Jandor), has accused Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of closing Lagos markets for the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally for Bola Tinubu.
The APC presidential marketing campaign is underway on the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.
Adediran mentioned the Lagos authorities pressured the merchants in main markets to attend the occasion.
A press release by his marketing campaign spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, famous that the leaders complained a couple of directive to not open immediately.
The Lagos State Parks and Garages Administration Committee, led by Musiliu Akinsanya a.ok.a. MC Oluomo, allegedly threatened to punish merchants who flout the order.
Jandor referred to as the alleged motion of the state authorities as “insensitive, callous, barbaric, and felony.”
The flagbearer mentioned the merchants are free residents whose proper to do enterprise is protected by the structure.
“Any act to intimidate or threaten them to attend a programme in opposition to their want is felony and inhuman”, the assertion reads.
It warned the authorities to cease inflicting pains on folks making an attempt to outlive the tough financial system “the APC on the federal and state ranges have plucked the nation into”.
Jandor suggested Lagos residents to maintain hope alive as they “endure the remaining days of the inept APC-led administration”.
