Presidential election: I’m a frontrunner, gained’t step down – Peter Obi fires again at Atiku

The Labour Get together, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi has stated he can’t step down for his counterpart from the Peoples Democratic Get together, PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

Obi made the comment whereas denying holding talks with Atiku in a bid to type an alliance and step down forward of the 2023 election.

Just a few days in the past, Atiku disclosed that he was in talks with Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Get together, NNPP.

Nonetheless, talking by the Head of his Media, Presidential Marketing campaign Council, Diran Onifade, Obi stated he was vying for the Presidency to win and to not step down.

A press release issued by Onifade reads: “Now we have been inundated with enquiries in regards to the declare of an ongoing dialogue between our Presidential candidate and the camp of PDP’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

“We’re not in any talks with Atiku or anybody else with a view to stepping down from a race by which we’re the frontrunner.

“Peter Obi is within the contest to win in consonance with the aspiration of the vast majority of Nigerians who want a New Nigeria devoid of lies, corruption and egocentric scheming.”
