There is a new twist in the tale concerning Babes and her mother-in-law Zama Gumede brouhaha. Zama has told a local publication that she wishes to make amends with Babes Wodumo after sharing a heated video of herself cursing and dragging her daughter-in-law.
65-year old Zama told Zaleb that she was filled with wrath when she confronted Babes in the video. In the video, she accuses Babes of trying to control her son’s life.
It is clear she and Babes don’t see eye to eye after the Queen of Gcom ordered her and her family members to not set foot at her wedding.
In the video, Zama accused Babes of faking her pregnancy and then proceeded to insult her unborn grandchild inside her by saying he or she will probably be a cat. From what many observed, Zama was probably intoxicated but that cannot be known for sure.
After their lavish traditional wedding, she went on a rant but now she wants to apologise to her in person. She might not like Babes, but if her son, Shimora wants to spend the rest of his life with her, then there is nothing she can do but to be supportive.
“At the end of the day, she is my daughter-in-law, and we have to iron out issues and move past. Mandla is my son, and if he chooses Babes Wodumo, then there’s nothing I can do. I want to apologise to her in person, and we move on as a family. I want to be a responsible mother to both of them,” she told the publication.
Babes might have to reconsider pressing charges against her mother-in-law because the singer was adamant that she wants to teach her a lesson. “I am going to press charges against her for humiliating me in public and for swearing at me. I don’t understand why she is dragging my name in the mud.”
“I am pregnant, whether she likes it or not. If she has problems with it, she must deal with it. I am hurt about this. I know most of the things she says when she is drunk should not be taken seriously, but this time she has gone too far. I am going to press charges against her. I want her to clear my name,” Babes told Daily News.
