
The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) on Monday declared Idris Salman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) because the winner of the election for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in Kogi State.
The INEC Returning Officer, Dr Adams Baba, introduced the ends in Kabba.
INEC had, on February 26, declared the results of the constituency inconclusive due to the distinction between the margin of win and voided ends in two polling items.
INEC was, nonetheless, capable of resolve the numbers and declared Salman because the winner of the election with 13, 867 votes to beat the incumbent Speaker of the Kogi Home of Meeting, Matthew Kolawole.
Kolawale, who contested on the platform of the APC, obtained 13,605 votes, whereas Olaiya Olobatoke of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering (PDP) polled 10,967 votes.
Baba stated: “Idris Salman of ADC, having glad the necessities of the regulation, is hereby declared [the] winner and is returned elected.”
