Diana Hamilton has reached another milestone in her music career after she emerged as the overall Artiste of the year at the just ended VGMA. Well, in that category, it was expected by many that either Kidi or Diana Hamilton emerge as the winner of the prestigious award.
Kidi however allegedly stormed out of the auditorium after Diana Hamilton was announced as the winner in the category. It was presumed that the singer was disappointed and angry for losing to Diana Hamilton.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, Kidi told the host, Andy Dosty that he was never infuriated by the board’s decision to crown Diana Hamilton as the Artiste of the year over him.
Meanwhile, Miketwo of Adom FM is one of the many industry players who believe that there was an ulterior motive behind VGMA’s decision to crown Diana over Kidi.
According to him, KiDi was denied the title he truly deserved since he had recently named Artist Of The Year at the 3Music Awards, and the VGMA organizers didn’t want to appear to be following in the footsteps of the 3Music Awards, thus their reason for crowning Diana Hamilton.
Taking to his Facebook, Miketwo wrote; ‘‘VGMA wanted to crown its own artiste as overall artiste of the yr not someone like Kidi who just won overall artiste of the 3Music awards, a tight competitor to the scheme, even though Kidi deserves it more than Diana….buh hey they also want theirs ooo”.
