The All Progressives Congress has lost to the PDP in Kaduna State Governor’s polling unit.
The PDP won by 24 votes in Governor El Rufai’s polling unit, 01, in Ungwan Sarki, Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state.
Announcing the results at the end of the voting, Presiding Officer, Muhammad Sani, said the APC had 62 votes while PDP polled 86 votes.
He said the total number of votes cast was 159 for the chairmanship position.
The PDP was also ahead of the ruling APC by 100 votes against 53 for the Councilorship position.
Before the election on Saturday, the governor had expressed confidence in the voting process, saying the outcome should be acceptable by all the parties in the election as it was nearly impossible to rig it.
