Ghanaian US-based social media commentator, Twene Jonas has descended on Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie in a new post.
One of the most abused and criticized Ghanaian celebrities and artists is Michael Owusu also known as Sarkodie. Sarkodie has been under fire the past few days after he tweeted about the current hardship in the country.
Sarkodie who has been tagged as an NPP member was lambasted a few days ago after he made a tweet concerning the hardship and increase in taxes a few days ago. Many are of the opinion that the rapper Sarkodie took money from the sitting Government hence his inability to criticize the government.
It was also rumored that during the 2020 general elections, the rapper supported the government by releasing a track titled “Happy day” but has refused to talk about the current issues in the country.
In the midst of the brouhaha, Twene Jonas in a Facebook live has added his voice to the criticism on Sarkodie. He fired Sarkodie for not saying anything against the government when Ghanaians are going through a lot of hardships.
In the live Facebook session, Twene Jonas said, “I’m on Sarkodie. I even heard he will be having a show over here and I don’t want to destroy the program. Because if I talk about him or criticize him, no one will even attend the program and his career will end like John Dumelo. He will then establish his own political party or go into politics”.
