
A passenger practice derailed Tuesday (Mar. 7) north of Cairo, killing at the least 2 individuals and injuring an additional 16, Egyptian authorities stated.
At the least 20 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene and the injured transferred to close by hospitals.
A ministry assertion stated “the injured have been in a secure situation.”
The derailing occurred because the practice was touring via the town of Qalyub on its solution to the town of Menouf within the Nile Delta, state prosecutors stated.
