Recall the VGMAs board paid a performance tribute to the disappeared Hiplife rapper/ signer at the 22nd edition of the award ceremony. The performance was led by Highlife/ Hiplife singer Kurl Songz and was later joined by SarkNation boss Sarkodie and Castro’s protege Kofi Kinaata.

According to Andy Dosty who was also part of the 22nd VGMAs board, Mr. Cofie Tagoe who is the father of Castro is not happy and has expressed his dissatisfaction with the tribute performance which was dedicated to his disappeared son.

The father has revealed that the board didn’t give him any prior notice of any performance tribute to his son and he later found out through the media that there was such an occasion which was dedicated to Castro.

They did not consult me before they went ahead with a tribute performance for my son. What I expected was that they come to see me and let me know that this is what they want to do but that didn’t happen. I take it that these persons were not brought up well

Mr. Cofie Tagoe a couple of years ago stopped the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) from holding a candle night vigil in memory of the ‘Toffee’ hitmaker stating that his son is not dead.
