6 Egyptian Copts kidnapped in Libya

Six Egyptian Coptic Christians have been kidnapped and held for ransom in neighboring Libya, a lawmaker and media mentioned on Thursday.

“Prison gangs in Libya kidnapped six Egyptian Copts a few week in the past and are demanding a big ransom to launch them,” MP Mostafa Bakry tweeted.

In line with him, the abductees are “easy staff who went to Libya to attempt to discover building work and had been kidnapped” whereas touring by street close to Sabratha in western Libya.

Media near the Coptic Church added that the abductors demanded a ransom of 30,000 {dollars} per hostage.

Many Egyptians stay in Libya, the place they’ve discovered work within the oil-rich nation.
